KVM server or your own machine?

When a machine of your own pays off
A KVM server covers most cases. These are the exceptions.
Sustained load
When the CPU does not just spike but works through: rendering, compiling, analysis.

Databases and storage that need more throughput than a shared machine can give.

Questions people ask first
How long does setup take?
Not automatically, unlike KVM. We set the machine up by hand and come back to you with a date, usually the same working day. You get the credentials once it runs.
Can I choose the operating system?
Yes. We install Debian, Ubuntu or Windows Server for you. Ask if you need something else and we will say whether it works.
Why is the list sometimes short or empty?
Because it shows what is actually standing in the rack. The stock system feeds this page directly, so a machine that is sold disappears on its own. Write to us and we will say when the next one arrives.
Does prepaid apply here too?
Yes, like every service we run. The machine renews automatically from your balance as long as it covers the amount. Cancel it in the panel and it runs until the end of the paid period. No minimum term.
Is a dedicated machine faster than a KVM server?
For sustained load, yes, because nothing else runs beside you. For everything else the difference is smaller than the price gap, and a KVM server from 3.56 euro is the better buy.
Can I move up from a KVM server?
Not automatically. A dedicated machine is a new server, so you migrate your data yourself. We keep the KVM server running until you are done.
